LadyThorne wrote:I only found this because the Pro-writing aid spell-checker kept flagging it. Other people maintain the other English variants word-lists but Marco does package them into a single file for download and install. Marco is only involved in maintaining and adding to the word-list for the English_GB spellchecker.

And, even if you do manage to edit it, you would have to do so every time you update the spellchecker. Personally, I have a suspicion that the spellchecker file isn't editable by the user, so don't be surprised it you break something if you try. You can get his contact details here: He is usually quite swift in answering emails and is, I found always happy to help. If you are using the Marco Pinto spellchecker then he is easy to contact, I have fairly frequent contact with him, suggesting new words or informing of problems, maybe you could try that route and report back here on the answers. Marco updates the Eng_GB spellchecker very regularly, usually on the first of the month, so it's a good idea to keep it up to date.

and you will able to see if the dictionary (more accurately 'spellchecker') is supplied by Marco Pinto, you will also be able to see the date of the installed spellchecker there too.

Have a look in (menu) Tools > Extension Manager. If I'm not sure of which myself I usually just consult a proper dictionary, which only takes a few seconds. The usage of 'ize' and 'ise' isn't hard and fast across English GB and English US some words are 'ise' and some are also permissible as 'ize' for English GB. Realized and realised are both acceptable for Eng_GB - at least this is given by my Chambers Dictionary and the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary.
